Come and hear Alison Battisson talk on the topic ‘A New Government: what has changed for refugees? We will also be joined by Gwyn Denton, who will tell us about some of the initiatives of the Roseville Asylum Seeker and Refugee Support Group.

Alison Battisson is the Founder and Director of Human Rights for All (HR4A) (link). Alison’s work focuses on long term detained and complex-case refugees and stateless people to test the principles of liberty in Australia. In 2022, Alison was awarded Human Rights Lawyer of the Year by Lawyer Monthly (link).
Gwyn Denton is the convenor of the Roseville Asylum Seeker and Refugee Support Group, which is active in supporting refugees and asylum seekers across Sydney.
The afternoon will finish with afternoon tea.
