Bradfield electorate

The electorate of Bradfield was formed in the 1949 expansion of parliament, and was a safe Liberal Party seat until 2022, when it became marginal. In 2025 Nicolette Boele made history by winning the seat as a community independent candidate.

Today, Bradfield is a highly-educated and diverse community, with 53% of adult residents having a Bachelor degree and above (NSW: 28%).

Over 48% of Bradfield residents were born overseas (NSW: 34%), with significant communities speaking Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Hindi and Persian.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners, custodians and elders of the lands on which we work on including the Guringai, Darramurragal, Cammeraygal and Gaimariagal clans and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and education practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples. We continue our journey of listening and work towards true kinship and equality under the eternal stars.
